Phd Scholar

I’ve always been fascinated with forest and wildlife. I believe scientific research is necessary to gain a better understanding of nature and its complexities in a deeper sense. Therefore, I majored in Wildlife Studies at the Centre for Wildlife Studies, Wayanad, which ignited my interests in the field. It gave me an opportunity to conduct research on rodents for my dissertation. Following my passion, I initially joined the Wildlife Conservation Society, Bangalore, which focused on Lion tailed macaques and piqued my interest in wildlife research. Later, I worked as a research fellow at JNTBGRI in Thiruvananthapuram, where the work aimed to investigate tree cavities, utilising vertebrates and their interactions. This research made me more aware of the interactions between plants and vertebrate species. My doctoral research focuses on rodents and their microhabitat associations in various vegetation types. Behavioural ecology of animals, ornithology, herpetology, and habitat restoration are some of my areas of special interest.
