Phd Scholar

My broad research interests are in behavioral ecology and Primatology. I am fascinated by the patterns and processes leading to urban area adaptation and the cognition of urban monkeys. For my PhD, I plan to look at the diet and diet selection of bonnet macaques in an anthropogenic gradient with respect to food traits. My master’s thesis at Bharathidasan University (AVC college, Mayiladumthudrai) examined prey capture behavior and feeding interactions in social spiders. Following my master's, I continued experimental research on social spiders' behavior and did extensive fieldwork on non-human primates in Uttarakhand and Nicobar islands. I am keen to expand my research to understand the impact of urbanisation and human behavior on behavioral changes and cognition among primates and birds.
