Joseph Justine

Project Fellow

I hail from Alappuzha, a district in Kerala known for its unique absence of forest cover. Despite this, my passion for forests led me to pursue a Masters in Wildlife Studies at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. During my studies, I became captivated by the unexplored realm of fungal ecology. In fact, my master's thesis delved into the intriguing relationship between soil fungi and plant community structure.

My academic journey has shaped my research interests, which encompass the fascinating fields of Mycology, Odonate ecology, and Conservation biology. Currently, I am fortunate to serve as a project fellow at the esteemed Centre for Citizen Science at KFRI, where I am actively engaged in meaningful projects.
